Job Description
We are looking for an experienced R&D Mechanical CAD Engineer with a robust background in mechanical or mechatronics engineering. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of core engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, and fluid dynamics. Proficiency in advanced CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, and SolidWorks, as well as experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), is essential. This role involves leading various projects from conceptual design through to manufacturing, utilizing the latest tools and technologies to drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems using advanced CAD software.
- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for design validation and optimization.
- Apply expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and hydraulics to enhance design solutions.
- Select appropriate materials based on principles of materials science and metallurgy for various applications.
- Engage in control systems and automation strategies to optimize mechanical designs and improve performance.
- Utilize advanced manufacturing processes, including CNC machining and 3D printing, to inform design decisions.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of products, focusing on robotics and mechatronics applications.
- Ensure compliance with technical drawing and drafting standards throughout the design process.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in CAD, CAE, and related engineering technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and product managers, to meet project goals and timelines.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Extensive understanding of core engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and materials science.
- Proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of CAM processes; experience with FEA tools is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and hydraulics.
- In-depth knowledge of materials science, control systems, and modern manufacturing processes.
- Strong interest in and understanding of 3D printing, CNC machining, robotics, and mechatronics.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to lead projects and work effectively both in teams and independently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly
